Meet Wilcovak

More about us
Wilcovak was founded out of the desire to help artists make their work of art shine. Every day, we dedicate ourselves to presenting works of art in the best possible way. We produce all components under one roof. Our products can be found in museums, galleries, art fairs, companies and in collectors’ homes. All our work is custom made. Our professionals work with high-quality machines and materials. The final work’s can be finished with a beautiful hand-planed frame. With our own transport service, within the Netherlands, we ultimately deliver the work to the desired address.

Our own transport service

With our own transport service, we deliver the works to your desired location. At art fairs, we can even deliver them to your stand.

We deliver twice a week in Amsterdam, usually on Tuesdays and Thursdays. But we can also deliver throughout the country.

We pick up prints from many framers and photo labs. It is important to schedule so that you can make use of this relatively inexpensive service.

Time deliveries can of course also be provided at an agreed rate. The rate depends on your location.

The photographer Erwin Olaf is a well renowned contemporary artists in the Netherlands. In 2021, the Kunsthalle München will be holding a large-scale retrospective devoted to his oeuvre. Photographs, videos, sculptures and multimedia installations from an artistic career spanning almost forty years, from analogue to digital techniques.

Do you have any job vacancies?

Do you also deliver to consumers?
Our core business is the corporate, creative market. We also regularly supply museums, government bodies and companies. Collectors are an important target group for us. Consumers are also welcome. Please realise that our quality comes first and that everything is fully customised.

Of course, this is different for each product.

How long does the production process take?
Our work is fully customised. Quality comes first and this cannot be combined with speed. All frames are handcrafted and sprayed in colour by ourselves. We strive for delivery within 10 working days after approval of the order. In busy times it can take longer. Especially after large art fairs.

Do you have a deadline? Ask about the possibilities.

The lead time differs per product. A loose print, ChromaLuxe or Diasec is faster than a hand-made frame.

How can I submit print files?
Upload your files using WeTransfer on our homepage. Please state your requirements, name, address and telephone number. You will find the delivery specifications on our “print studio” page.
How do I know if my file is of sufficient quality?
After receiving the file, our print specialist will assess it for the desired result. We will then contact you by telephone or provide you with an offer. After that, we can send you a test strip by post (letterbox post). For this we ask a small contribution, which will be credited when the order is completed.

Would you rather have test strips rolled up in a tube? Ask about the possibilities.

Do you also deliver abroad?
Our own van delivers within the Netherlands and part of Belgium (Antwerp area). For the Islands you can make a request. Do you have specific destinations? Ask us about the possibilities.

We ship for our customers via Fedex, DHL or Postnl to all parts of the world. Ask for the possibilities.

Do you have any samples?
We do not have standard sets of samples. We work fully custom-made but you can request a sample of your own file for a small fee. The costs are settled at the time of order.
What is Diasec?
With Diasec®, photos are glued with the image side behind Plexiglas. Users choose it because:

  • there is more than 99% UV protection
  • a borderless finish is possible
  • a super high-gloss finish is so crisp, even with TruLife anti-glare
  • the work can be floated in front of the wall
  • a matt version is also available
Can I also supply prints?
Yes, you can. At your own risk, both during transport and during the production process. Upon receipt, we check the print for any damage. We will do this together with you, or after receipt by a transport service. If we find any damage to your print, we will report this before the production process begins.

Not all prints are suitable for all production processes. We can discuss this by telephone in advance.

How can I order such a nice transport box?
Unfortunately… our own made transport boxes and ISPM15 boxes are only delivered for works that are produced in our own workshop. It is a form of service for our own customers using international transport.
I want a very special frame, is this possible?
We produce special frames for our customers on a regular basis. These include extra large, thick frames, special frames or even wooden light boxes, for example. See under ‘projects’ for examples.
What kind of paints are used?
We work exclusively with water-based paints. This is due to environmental aspects and health reasons for our employees.
